WELCOME TO OUR SCHOOL
Located in the seaside village of Ardmore, Co Waterford, St Declan's National School is home to 118 children from the ages of 4 to 12.
The school is characterised by a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, one that's driven and encouraged by the teachers - and one in which learning comes naturally to the children.

"Split the Pot"
We would like to take this opportunity to thank all the parents /children and members of the community who have and continue to support our successful fundraiser. We would also like to thank the many local businesses who support this by allowing us to use their facility for the sale of our Split the Pot envelopes . Envelopes are 2 euro each and our weekly draw is held every Wednesday night in the Round Tower Hotel at 9pm thanks to Aldan and Trish Quirke.
Congratulation to all the children who are involved in our debating competition at present.
We would like to thank all the children, staff and parents who helped us in achieving our 4th green flag which covered all areas of Travel. The children really enjoyed participating in this theme, especially the WOW/COW days (Walk on Wednesday and Cycle on Wednesday days) and also the Cycle Right programme.
Over the next two years we are going to work towards getting our 5th flag which will be our Biodiversity Flag .
We have now starting working on our Biodiversity Flag. Children have been learning about the meaning of Biodiversity in class.
A new committee was formed and each committee member will keep their own classroom informed of the many tasks and projects which we hope to participate in over the next 2 years to achieve our Biodiversity Flag.
One of the main tasks is to complete a Biodiversity Awareness Survey and to draw up a habitat map of our school grounds before the Easter holidays.
